First and foremost, I want to say a huge THANK YOU for listening to 96.3 KSCS, and the Dorsey Gang. Being a part of the morning show is my dream come true. I've had people ask me what my long term goal is...and I'm here! Working with Terry Dorsey, Hawkeye, Michael Scott and Brother Van is a huge blessing...and even though they give me a hard time...it's all in good fun. And if it makes you laugh on your way to work, it's well worth it!!
Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I wake up every morning, and I thank the good Lord for blessing me the way He has. I love my husband, Mike, with all of my heart and soul. Growing up, I thought I'd never find true love...but Mike is my miracle come to life. And for anyone out there single and searching....WAIT for the right one! It's so worth it. And remember, you're on God's time table, not yours.

I come from a fantastic family...I talk to my Mom every day on the phone, my Dad is my hero, and my two sisters, Liz and Emily, are my two best friends. They both married two wonderful men, and they're a great addition to our clan!
I moved around quite a bit growing up, but settled here in Texas in 1998. It was the best move I've ever made, and I haven't looked back once. I've been working in radio ever since. I graduated from Highlands Ranch High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and then moved on to the University of Kansas (go Jayhawks!!). I graduated with a degree in broadcast radio....and a morning show in country music was my dream.
I've been listening to country all my life. My father raised me on Alabama, George Jones, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson....all the pioneers. My favorite band of all time is "Diamond Rio" and my favorite song of their's is "Just Another Heart". It's cut 10 on their 4th CD....a must have. My two favorite country songs in general are "John Deere Green" by Joe Diffie and "Every Time I Get Around You" by David Lee Murphy. They're the BEST two-stepping songs ever!
In my spare time I love to hang out with my husband, study the Bible, read scary books, watch scary movies, roller blade, run, play with my dog (Jim), go country dancing, and watch those terrible reality tv shows. Can't help it....it's an addiction. It's wrong, I know, but I am who I am. Don't worry, I watch the news, too, I promise.
The best advice I think I've ever received was from my dear friend Mel. Some of you may know of her....she used to work mid-days here on KSCS before she decided to be a full time mommy. She told me "you always need to pick your battles". That advice has helped me in all of my relationships, from friends, to family, to work, and beyond. Sometimes you just gotta let things go. And it gives me a lot of peace to be able to do that.
When I think of words to live by, I have to defer to the bible. Here are my two favorite verses...
PHILIPPIANS 4:6 Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
JEREMIAH 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope
I hope they give you the same peace they do me! Thank you again for listening to 96.3 KSCS and the Dorsey Gang...we truly appreciate you. And we always love to hear from you, so be sure to e-mail me at Rebecca@kscs.com!
